On their 6th anniversary, Kim & Chris exchanged their vows and began their new life together as husband and wife.  It was an absolute honour to capture and take part in the celebration of their love.

Their wedding took place in the yard at Shaugn’s mom’s house, which was beautifully transformed into what felt like a magic secret garden.  During the ceremony, Alicia & Shaugn exchanged their own personal vows and enjoyed a fabulous rendition of “Stand By Me” performed by Shaugn’s nephew.  After a quick celebratory toast, the wedding party & I hopped into a limo to take us to a few select portrait locations… and I knew from Alicia & Shaugn’s amazing engagement session that this couple would definitely rock it out for their portraits.  So happy with the results!

Alicia & Shaugn… thank you so much for trusting me to capture your gorgeous day, and for making me truly feel like part of the family.  I had such a great time with you & your awesome wedding party!  Congratulations, and all the best as you begin this next chapter together.  xo

They chose to have an outdoor ceremony overlooking beautiful Vanier Park & the buildings of downtown Vancouver… and as luck would have it, Ross & Heather’s day was the hottest of the year!  While the gorgeous summer sunshine poured down on us, Ross & Heather exchanged their vows and their custom made juniper heartwood rings, complete with personal engraved messages on the inside rim.  After we did a few portraits, Ross & Heather took the time to mingle & enjoy the company of their guests over cake and games of croquet.  such a nice way to relax and take in the moments of what is otherwise a whirlwind of a day!

Always keeping the environment and sustainability in mind, Ross & Heather arranged for a harbour taxi to shuttle their wedding party & a few select guests from the docks at the Maritime Museum all the way to Science World, where we finally boarded a skytrain to their reception venue on Commercial Drive.  Such a fun way to travel & take in the sights of our beautiful city.  Along the way we crossed paths with a zombie or two, but eventually made it unscathed to the reception ;)

I cannot say enough wonderful things about their fabulous reception venue, Frederico’s Supper Club, where the food was divine, the service was impeccable, and the live music was a riot!  Here we were regaled with a hilarious speech & slideshow by Heather’s sister & maid-of-honour, Elise, as well as a highly entertaining surprise song & dance number by Ross & his best man, Erik.  Frederico even took the stage to serenade the happy couple for their sweet first dance.

Heather & Ross… thank you so much for allowing me the honour of photographing your perfect wedding day.  I wish you a lifetime of love & happiness together, and hope to be there to celebrate with you both throughout the coming years.  Have a fantastic time on your honeymoon in the “outback” of BC!!  xxoo

Meghan & Mark travelled from their Edmonton home to be married at the gorgeous UBC rose garden.  As this was essentially a destination wedding for them, they chose to keep things simple and easy to ensure their day flowed smoothly.  This meant having a first look before the ceremony, which I was absolutely thrilled about… that way Meghan & Mark could enjoy their reception with their guests immediately following the ceremony, with no lag time for portraits in between.  After their sweet first look, we headed out for a stroll around the UBC grounds with their great looking wedding party, followed up by a few adorable couple portraits.  As we made our way back to the ceremony, the sun was just starting to hide behind a thin veil of clouds – absolutely perfect photo conditions for sweet & tender ceremony.

Congratulations, Meghan & Mark, and a big thank you as well to my second shooter, Bethany!  What an honour it was to be there on your day; thank you so much for having me there. :)

What a honour it has been to be one of Danielle‘s bridesmaids as she & Dustin begin this new chapter together.  I have no doubt that these two are true soul mates; they come alive in the presence of one another, and inspire others with their love and generosity.  Plus they both own great 80′s paraphernalia and know how to have a good time!  haha.  Kidding aside, I simply couldn’t be happier for this amazing couple.

While us girls got ready on the morning of the wedding, I of course captured a few shots of the transformation :)  Thankfully, I did not have to attempt to be both the photographer & a bridesmaid for the day, as the lovely & talented Rebecca Sehn joined us later on.  I was happy to catch what I could, though, as we prepared to meet Dustin & the boys.

Huge congratulations to d&d – thank you both for allowing me to be a part of one of the biggest days of your lives… hope you have a wonderful time in Mexico!  Looking forward to celebrating more of life’s milestones with you.  xxoo

Reshma & Salmaan were married at the stunning Brock House Restaurant on Jericho Beach… a perfect venue to celebrate the love of this adorable couple.  I had such a great time getting candid photos of their guests during the cocktail hour and reception – so many beautiful colours, cute kids, and of course, much emotion too :)

Big thank yous go out to Bethany as well as Dawn from Candeo Weddings for all her help during the day.  Much appreciated!

After catching a few shots of Allan & his best man getting ready at Allan’s condo, Bethany & I headed to the Westin Bayshore to capture Rennae as she prepared to meet Allan.  Rennae’s stunning Jenny Packham dress and gorgeous jewelry were an absolute treat to photograph… she looked simply radiant.  After her & Allan’s first look, they hopped into their vintage limo and we all headed out to create some portraits under the protection of the Burrard Street bridge.  Such a great location, and we were lucky enough to have the sun peak out for a few moments!

Their ceremony was held on the patio at Seasons in the Park – a perfect setting for an intimate gathering, with views overlooking the city from Queen Elizabeth Park.  Gorgeous.  So looking forward to the party coming up next month!
