It’s So Quiet…

I am prone to cabin fever.

These periods often creep up when I’m neglecting to stop and breathe and just live in a moment completely.

Tonight’s remedy for this annoying state looked a little like this.

Much better.

Oh and I’ll be updating here more often now… sorry for the recent absence. :)

  • Dad - Hey Tegan – I’ve just checked through your incredible pics of Della Rose, Micah, Aleet, Kate, Graham and field flowers and I’m so blown away I’m in tears! Just realized that seeing the beauty & sensitivity of your ‘work’ is the best Father’s Day present this guy could ever have! So good to talk to you on the phone yesterday!! Hope your camping trip is dryer than you expect.
Lots of love & keep up the truly wonderful work, eh!?ReplyCancel

  • Peter & Connie - As usual, we are amazed at your vision, sensitivity and great camara skills. How did you focus both the tree & the waterfall so well in that great pic? I loved the field & fence and the incredible fern shots, especially the crystal clear purple one amid impressionistic peers! You make even Kyle look good – nice going yet again, Tegan!!ReplyCancel

  • Annie - In biology, succession is the colonization of bare rock by plant life. The plants eventually break down the rock and turn it into soil. Your photos are so, so wonderful, but the shots of the ferns and tree in the lava are turning this science teacher on. :)ReplyCancel

  • dhana - aloha!
You are so lucky, enjoy every minute of it! If you feel you need to bring me a souvenir, there is the most yummy granola ever-hand made, on Kauai I think…just sayin’ReplyCancel

thank you.

A sincere thanks to everyone who left a comment on my blog during the month of December!  Together we raised $27 in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.  2011 was my first year participating in this initiative, which was started in 2008 by Vancouver photographers Chris + Lynn, and has been continued by several other local photographers since then.  Lots of room to increase my donation amount for next year!  Your support was truly appreciated – thank you :)

Since December was a fairly quiet month around here, I also wanted to share a little bit of what I’ve been up to over the past while.  I’ve felt so grateful to be surrounded by amazing friends and family during the holidays – I hope you were able to take a few moments with the ones you love to appreciate all that we have as well.  Here’s to big holiday feasts, new babies, close friends, and lots of love.

stay tuned for a more complete 2011 wrap up, as well as exciting new things coming soon!

  • Jen - I’m usually such a stalker, how did I miss these?? Oh right, I had no internet for half of December and January. What a wonderful series Teeg, and I love the photos at Moka House. I can’t believe that one of Nicky and I wasn’t posed! Wherever your camera goes, amazing snapshots of life seem to follow :)ReplyCancel

  • Cat - Love these Teeg! Especially the one of the 4 of us (well, 5 I guess)!! xoxoReplyCancel

time away | alberta vacation

Recently Kyle & I took some time away in Alberta… a much needed break after a hectic summer for us both.  Thanks to our friends & family there, we were able to enjoy a few peaceful days of camping, fishing, and roadtripping.  Always so good to come home full of fresh air and new perspectives.  Here are just a few highlights of the places & people we love in that big sky country. :)
